Job Description:

The Hospital Industry Data Institute (HIDI), the data company of the Missouri Hospital Association (MHA), is seeking a business intelligence analyst to be responsible for two core functions: designing, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting BI solutions; and providing research-oriented analytical support to Hospital Industry Data Institute (HIDI) hospital-based clientele, Missouri Hospital Association and its affiliates.

A bachelor’s degree in information systems, health information, management information systems, computer science or in a related discipline and/or five years’ combined experience in a reporting/analytic role with a focus on visualization design or development required. Master’s degree is preferred.

Must possess a strong understanding of SQL and basic database structure, and experience with healthcare data. Demonstrable programming experience with various forms of source data, performing complex data manipulations and delivering data and analytic deliverables using SQL, SAS and/or other statistical applications us required. Applied experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI), geospatial analysis tools (e.g. ArcGIS), hospital UB04 and other common healthcare data sources highly desirable. Candidate must possess strong time and task management skills to work productively on multiple simultaneous projects and timelines, and strong analytic, critical thinking, writing and interpersonal communication skills. Experience working in Lean/Agile/Scrum team-based development environments desirable.

This position is eligible for working remotely on a full‑time basis. Ideally, candidate would live within driving distance from our corporate offices in Jefferson City, Missouri, as the employee will be requested to attend meetings in person from time to time. The employee must be able to travel to and from the corporate offices without any restrictions.
