
Administrative Assistant
JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant
STARTING SALARY: $17-20 per hour with a highly competitive benefits package
REPORTS TO: President, Manager of Finance & Operations
GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
Receive visitors and serve as primary telephone and building contact. Assist with inquiries by answering questions, making referrals, providing literature or directing them to the proper person/entity. Serve as administrative support for various committees and projects.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Open the office at 8 a.m. and close the office at 4:30 p.m. Serve as the chamber’s customer service representative by providing telephone support and front desk hospitality. Field inquiries and direct to appropriate staff member or contact person. Answers general inquiries on Jefferson City. Occasionally arrive early or stay late for Chamber meetings.
2. Manage the Chamber’s front desk calendar
3. Manage updates to the Chamber’s membership database
4. Responsible for meeting notices of various Chamber committees
5. Responsible for Board of Directors meeting notices, packets and minutes
6. Perform administrative support for the President and Manager of Finance and Operations, including invoicing for membership and/or events
7. Responsible for inventory management of supplies and publications
8. Responsible for meeting room management
9. Performs other duties as may be assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred
(Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
