Central Missouri Professional Services, Inc. (CMPS) in Jefferson City, Missouri has an immediate opening for a civil design engineer with well-rounded industry experience to work out of its Jefferson City office.

CMPS provides land surveying, material testing / inspection and civil design services for many types of engineering projects consisting of residential and commercial land development, infrastructure and utilities, bridges, commercial site plans, drainage analysis and construction inspection.

JOB DESCRIPTION, REPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering

Preferred 4 years minimum experience in civil/site development, including: sanitary sewers, storm water, site planning, grading, utilities, permitting, and/or civil works.

Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D design software and Civil Storm. HEC-RAS and ArcGIS software knowledge a plus

Develop detailed site plans, designs and specifications

Researching and providing project estimates

Project management duties

Project specifications for bidding

Quantity and construction cost estimates

Confidential with clients and other professionals

Knowledge of city, county and state (DNR) rules and regulations and ordinances pertaining to civil construction projects, submittal requirements and permit applications

Preparing drainage studies

Stormwater BMP

FEMA elevation certificates and LOMA a plus
